About If Walls Could Talk

Historian and curator Lucy Worsley drops by for a visit to the houses of the past as she looks at how the home has evolved over 800 years of domestic history

If Walls Could Talk

The brilliant Lucy Worsley, chief curator of the historic royal palaces, steps back into time to take us through 800 years of domestic history by exploring the British home through four rooms, meeting experts and historians on the way.

The phrase ‘an Englishman’s home is his castle’ reflects our feelings when it comes to a dwelling; the way we make emotional connections with our home, and the way we feel when we live there.

During this series Lucy looks at our home have evolved throughout history, and goes through each room to explore how they have changed down the years.
